Ngā mihi nui kia koutou katoa, ko Paula Tesoriero toku ingoa. I am the chief executive of Whaikaha the Ministry of Disabled People. We were launched on the 1st of July. I sat in the role on the 1st of September and this is just a quick message to say, please join us on Monday, the 21st of November, from 6 to 7pm, where we’ll be hosting our first public engagement online session.
These sessions will be an opportunity for the disability community to come together, ask questions of Whaikaha, learn more about us, and I hope that we will continue those sessions. The meeting will be on Zoom. We will, of course, have NZSL interpreters and it will be captioned. If you can't make it, we will have a recording available with alternate formats that you can access after the event.
This will be the start of a number of Zoom meetings that we intend to have to bring you up to speed with what we are doing at Whaikaha. Please join us. I look forward to connecting with you. Ngā mihi.
