General Counsel
We are looking for a General Counsel to lead legal advice for the Ministry. You will join our small, dedicated team to provide trusted legal advice across all areas of our work.
As our lead legal advisor, you’ll have the opportunity to work independently and take ownership of a wide range of legal matters.
No two days will be the same — you’ll be involved in everything from policy development to contracts, procurement, and general legal advice for the Ministry.
You will play a key part in supporting our Ministry’s goals while managing your own workload and priorities.This role is perfect for a seasoned legal counsel who enjoys working autonomously and values flexibility. This role is part time and up to 24 hours per week.

Senior Advisor to Kaihautū
Are you an organised, collaborative and proactive professional with an interest in driving equitable outcomes for disabled people, tāngata whaikaha Māori and their whānau?
As a Senior Advisor – Māori, you will communicate with confidence, collaborate with others, provide evidence-informed advice and day-to-day operational support to the Kaihautū Chief Advisor Māori.
Your role will be essential in increasing the effectiveness, capacity, and impact of the Kaihautū by managing key tasks, preparing background material, and fostering strong relationships both inside and outside the organisation.You will also be responsible for prioritising tasks and planned engagements for the Kaihautū, ensuring they have all necessary background material, preparing aide-mémoires, and collating advice to support informed decision-making.

Manager, Operations and Delivery
As the Manager Operations and Delivery, you will lead the delivery of important services to other government agencies and the public.
You will make sure these services such as Alternate Formats, Disability Information Services, and guiding the roll-out of government-wide Employment Pathways initiatives are well-planned, resourced, and delivered in a way that truly meets the needs of those we serve.
You’ll also help shape how other agencies communicate and engage with disabled people and tāngata whaikaha Māori, using tools and guidance developed by your team.
