Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to disabled people 2018

Congratulations to the following people who have been recognised in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours for their services to disabled people.
• Fiona Allan, Chief Executive of Paralympics New Zealand, was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in recognition for her services to Paralympic sport.
• Mr Jonathan Donald Wilkinson (Jonny), of Whangarei, who was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to people with disabilities.
• Mrs Dorothy Nola Burgess (Nola), of Gisborne, was awarded the Queen’s Service Medal for services to people with disabilities, particularly the blind.
• Ms Geraldine Pomeroy (Geri), of Hamilton, was awarded a Queen’s Service Medal for services to people with disabilities.
• Mrs Catherine Tulloch (Cathie) and Mr Robert Tulloch (Rob), of Whangarei, were each awarded a Queens Services Medal for services to seniors and people with disabilities.
• Ms Martine Abel-Williamson, of Auckland, who was awarded the Queen’s Service Medal for services to people with disabilities.
